Every so often we host writers and performers from all over the world. We are always open to working with international arts organizations and funding bodies, partners such as arts councils and foreign missions to host or support their artists when visiting Botswana. We arrange school visits, free community workshops, collaborations with local acts/studios, masterclasses as well as manage logistics and publicity for their public readings.
Visiting Swedish Voices 2013
We are of course always willing and able to recommend local poets for international festivals/projects seeking literature from the continent or specifically from Botswana.
Organizations, festivals and cultural exchange projects that we have worked with in the past include the University of Kwazulu Natal’s Poetry Africa tour, the Swedish Arts Council, the Sylt Foundation (Germany), Studio Revolt (Cambodia), the Danish Arts Council, Regina Theatre out of Uppsala, the Maun International Arts Festival, events for a few of our own embassies based elsewhere etc
